Sometrics’ WhitePaper: Increase Revenue with ‘Advertiser Supported Transactions’

Posted Monday, March 9th, 2009 by Ian

Download our latest white paper and  read along as we explore a number of trends: the proliferation of casual, social and free-to-play games; the growing supply of virtual items within those games; the motivations of people who spend money on virtual items; and the rise of micro-transactions.

It offers an in-depth evaluation of the virtual goods market, and explores how publishers can make money using a virtual economy. It ends by diving deep into the latest form of monetization, advertiser-supported transactions – discussing how publishers can use incentives to drive user actions that lead to advertising revenue. The paper also describes Sometrics’ own Advertiser-Supported Transaction Platform.

Mark Zuckerberg - f8 Keynote

Behind the business card swapping and the lack of air circulation in the San Francisco Design Center, f8 revealed less than monumental yet significant news about the social network Facebook and those who interact with it. Application developers were introduced to what should prove to be a new era of social networking, with a profile redesign, new policies, an increase in the “social graph” via 3rd party website integration and further funding. Just where will this take us all and our vast network of friends?

Keep in mind this ever changing world of social networks will never get everything right at once, we still have some time to think about the future and how the relationships between publishers, developers and users will evolve. Sometrics is here to assist with that process by providing the tools necessary to understand the aspects of the social realm and turn that into the most effective results.
